A 26-year-old man is Toronto's latest murder victim. Richard Durant was shot Friday night at around 11:40 p.m. at Tom's Bar and Café on Davenport Road near Ossington Avenue. Durant died in hospital from his injuries. A second person at the scene, a 26-year-old man, was also sent to hospital with gun shot wounds. He is expected to recover from his injuries. Police have informed the public that they will update them about news of their investigation into the crime.
Where people are drinking and partying there is a potential for trouble. I'm not saying that people can't go out and have a good time but the truth is that when it gets dark, there is going to be more danger. Maybe the police should have way more policeman out at night to protect innocent people who happen to be in that area.
