T.O. man shot to death in front of his girlfriend

A 24-year-old man is dead after being shot in a parking lot in the northwest end of Toronto. The victim was with his girlfriend in front of a townhouse on Sentinel Road; which is in the Keele Street and Finch Avenue area. He was shot at around 11:30 p.m. Police say they are looking for as many as four suspects who were seen at the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics who tried to revive the man using CPR for nearly 20 minutes. Investigators say they are talking to the man's girlfriend who witnessed the murder. Police say the victim did not live in the townhouse complex. They are looking to collect video from surveillance cameras around the area to see if it captured an image of any of the suspects involved. Authorities will be canvassing the area Wednesday to speak with potential witnesses. The man, whose name has not been released by police, is the third person in less than a week to be killed by gunfire in Toronto. He is the city's 47th homicide victim of the year.

This is another article on gun violence in Toronto and this issue is starting to get really out of hand. I believe that people should not be allowed to buy guns at all. I understand that some people like to go hunting. There should be special areas where they can go hunting under supervised conditions. I also believe there should be more police officers on duty so that they can prevent crimes of violence before they occur.
